Dear Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners and City of Milton City Council:
For the sake of the basic safety and wellbeing of the citizens, businesses and visitors to the region served by the Fairpoint Regional Utility System, I believe access to clean and safe drinking water is one of the primary responsibilities of our local governments.
Because of the documented risks to human health posed by PFAS “Forever Chemicals,” I urge the City of Milton to take the steps necessary to prevent these dangerous pollutants from being discharged into the East Milton Wellfield Protection Zone.
